Vladimir Putin: Ukraine's air defense system cracked like beans, dozens destroyed

Hsmilitarycom: Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the successful work of the domestic air defense system against weapons supplied to Ukraine from other countries.

"Their air defense system is cracked like a bean, dozens have been destroyed," the head of state said in an interview with the Rossiya-1 TV channel. This snippet was posted on Saturday. It has not yet determined what kind of weapon it is referring to.

The United States and its NATO allies continue to ship military supplies to Ukraine.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that the supply of weapons only prolonged the conflict, and transportation with them became a legitimate target for the Russian Air Force.

Thus, the new package of US military assistance includes four modern HIMARS dual-launch rocket systems capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 80 kilometers with transferred equipment.

Vladimir Zelensky had previously promised not to use this system to launch an offensive on the territory of Russia.

Nevertheless, the press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, reminded that Moscow has no confidence on the Ukrainian side, since the Minsk agreement also ceases to exist because of Kyiv's fault.
