U.S. sends EA-18G Growler electronic fighter jets to Germany amid Russian invasion of Ukraine

HSMilitarycom: Pentagon spokesman Jong Kibry said he would deliver six EA-18G Growler electronic fighter jets to Europe based in Germany.

The EA-18G Growler electronic fighter jet is considered an enemy defense radar disruptor. John Kirby said these advanced fighter jets were sent to Germany not to fight Russian forces.

But another source said the ability of the U.S. EA-18G Growler aircraft to disrupt the normal operation of electronic intelligence in southwestern, western and northwestern Ukraine.

This does not rule out the possibility that the US could try to interfere in Russian military operations under the guise of acting solely in the interests of NATO countries.

The EA-18G Growler is a modern FA-18 fighter aircraft equipped with powerful electronic countermeasures.

The delivery of 6 EA-18G Growler fighter jets will add to the U.S. military's strength in Europe consisting of fighter jets, attack helicopters, and infantry battalions. They have been deployed in Germany, Poland and Hungary since February 2022.
