Germany agreed to the delivery of a number of advanced tanks to Ukraine?

Previously, there was a news circulating regarding the delivery of a number of German armored vehicles or tanks to Ukraine. But that's just an issue.

Recently, as reported by AFP, Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht revealed that the German government agreed to sign a shipment of gepard anti-aircraft tanks that had been used before.

That, according to a draft of his speech seen by AFP, lambrecht delivered at an international meeting between the Ministers of Defense at Ramstein air base, which US forces use in Germany.

About 40 countries are known to hold emergency talks at air bases in western Germany to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities.

In addition to Germany, France is known to deliver Caesar cannons with a range of 40 kilometers and Britain sends Starstreak anti-air missiles and tanks.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has previously drawn criticism for refusing to directly deliver heavy weapons to Ukraine, despite announcing a 'turning point' in Germany's defence policy in response to the war.

Critics accuse Scholz of having weak leadership and call the Social Democratic Party that houses him too reluctant to break away from detente's historic policy toward Russia.

Scholz even faced criticism from his own governing coalition, which is intertwined between the SPD, the Green Party and the liberal Free Democratic Party. He justified his cautious policy by declaring he wanted to avoid a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia.

But according to a draft document seen by AFP, the three coalition parties now plan to submit a joint proposal to parliament calling for the delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine.

The document calls on the government to continue and, if possible, speed up the delivery of the equipment needed to Ukraine, including expanding the delivery of heavy weapons and complex systems.

It also mentioned in the document that Ukrainian soldiers had to be trained in Germany and other NATO member states to operate the weapons.
