Russia will send Iskander-M missiles to Minsk. Is this a sign that things are not good?

Hsmilitarycom: Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Belarus' head of state Alexander Lukashenko, said that Moscow would send the Iskander-M missile system to Minsk in the coming months. As reported by TASS.

Vladimir Putin emphasized that the missile system to be delivered is both in the conventional version and also nuclear.

"As we agreed, you raised this matter, we have made a decision. In the next few months, we will transfer the Iskander-M tactical missile system to Belarus, which as you know, are ballistic missiles and cruise missiles," he said.

In the meeting, Vladimir Putin also said that the United States has 200 tactical nuclear weapons stored in Europe, and 257 military aircraft and fighter jets have been prepared for use.

At the same time, he noted that there has not been a need for mirror responses to train the flight of NATO aircraft with nuclear warheads over Belarus.

Putin and Lukashenko are currently holding talks at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. 

It is planned that they will discuss topical issues of further development of bilateral relations of strategic partnerships and alliances, as well as the promotion of integration processes.
