Russian S-400 air defense system hits Ukrainian MI-8 helicopter

Hsmilitarycom: Russian S-400 air systems destroyed a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter in the Bryansk region, reportedly mi-8 helicopters headed to the base after carrying out the attack and Russian S-400s destroyed it.

The wreckage of the Mi-8 helicopter was found in the Chernihiv region. The S-400 air defense system has proven its prowess in Ukraine, previously miG-29 fighter jets were also hit by the Russian military using the S-400.

"In the Chernihiv region, the S-400 compound of the Russian Armed Forces shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter, which attacked a settlement in the Bryansk region. The helicopter returned to base after an attack on a residential building in the village of Klimovo," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian defense ministry also added that when the S-400 air defense system fired, the Mi-8 helicopter could not detect it so the Mi-8 helicopter crashed and disintegrated.

The S-400 air defense system is an updated version of the S-300. The accuracy level of the S-400 is considered more perfect. Previously rumored, Turkey decided to buy a number of Russian S-400s, despite sanctions from the US and excluded from the F-35 fighter jet program.

Turkey is aware of how important the Russian-made S-400 air defense system is, this was evidenced during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
