EuroPravda sources said Moldova had refused to sell six MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. Gavrilitsa said that since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Moldova has helped Ukraine by accepting refugees, providing humanitarian assistance and complying with sanctions against Russia in the financial and banking systems.

"Regarding military assistance to Ukraine, there are countries that are much more equipped with military equipment, which have more resilience in the economic and energy sectors, to provide this assistance," Gavrilitsa said.

He avoided answering questions related to the sale of 6 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

"I answered the question of how Moldova is helping Ukraine in this difficult time," the prime minister said.

In the article "European Truth" it is said that in the first days of the war Ukraine was aimed at Moldova with a request to sell MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukrainians.

However, according to EP sources, the Moldovan government has refused to sell MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, citing an alleged reluctance to "interfere with Russia".

Moldova's Defense Ministry has six MiG-29 fighter jets based at an air base in the north of the country. Some sources said the fighter jet was working fine, but the MiG-29 did not take off for a long time.

However, Moldova chose not to sell or deliver their MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, given its ties with Russia.
