US senator urges joe biden to send fighter jets and air defense systems to Ukraine

HSMilitarycom: Forty US senators asked US President Joe Biden to immediately send fighter jets and air defense systems to kiev Ukraine.

In a letter released Thursday, MPs urged Biden to engage with Poland and its NATO allies to expedite the delivery of fighter jets and air defense systems, and other combat assets and support that Ukraine urgently needs.

 The senators insisted they disagreed with Biden's decision to deprive Poland of the opportunity to send fighter jets to Ukraine. The letter was signed by more than 40 members of Congress.

Earlier, On Tuesday, Washington called Warsaw's proposal unacceptable to send military fighter jets to Kiev via US bases.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an emergency call to Russia and announced a special military operation in Donbass.

In his speech, He stated that the situation required decisive action from Russia and stressed that Russia would not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.

In response to Russia's actions, Western countries (USA, Canada, European Union, UK, Japan) announced new, tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation, including financial and economic sanctions.
