Russia takes over Ukraine military base near Kherson
HSMilitarycom: At a Ukrainian military base near Kherson, the Russian military found equipment and more than 4.5 thousand tons of ammunition, the Russian defense ministry said.
The Russian military took over the military base of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kherson, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement received by RBC.
According to the department's information, the military base is located near the village of Radensk, Kherson region. It is situated on an area of 6-7 hectares.
On it, the Russian military found Ukrainian T-64 and T-80 tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and Ural vehicles.
"A few meters from the parking lot there is a large hangar. This accommodate an ammunition depot," the statement said.
Mines, anti-tank guided missiles, mortars and tank shells were stored in the warehouse, rocket shells for the volley fire system were also found on the road, along with mortar rounds and high-explosive fragmentation shells.
