He clarified that we are talking about the RD-180, which was used on the American Atlas-5 rocket as a support engine, and the RD-181, which was used in the first stages of the Antares rocket.

“Today, it is planned to supply an additional 12 RD-181 engines by 2022-2024, negotiations are also underway with the United States regarding the supply of RD-181M engines with better performance characteristics, but we believe that in this situation we cannot do so. continue to supply the United States with our best machines, ”said the head of Roskosmos.

“Today we have made the decision to stop shipping rocket engines manufactured by NPO Energomash to the United States. Let me remind you that since the mid-1990s, such deliveries have been quite active, ” TASS reports Rogozin's words on the Rossiya 24 channel.

Rogozin also said that Russia stopped servicing the remaining Russian RD-180 engines in the US. According to him, since the mid-90s of the last century, 122 RD-180 engines for Atlas missiles have been delivered to the United States, 98 of which have been used.

“Not only do we refuse to supply these machines, but we also refuse to maintain the remaining machines. We are talking about another 24 machines,” said Rogozin.

The head of Roscosmos also noted that Russia's rocket and space programs would be adjusted.

“Our space program will of course be adjusted. First of all, the priority will be set. The priority here is the creation of spacecraft for the benefit of Roskosmos and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," Rogozin's words were reported by RIA Novosti.

"In addition, we will focus on ensuring that all the spacecraft that will be built by Russia in the near future, they will have a dual purpose, taking into account the conditions in our country," he added.
