From a distance of 400Km, Russian S-400 destroys a Ukrainian SU-27 near Kyiv

HSMilitarycom: During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia used the S-400 anti-jet fighter missile system. According to the American edition of Military Watch Magazine, the S-400 was stationed in neighboring Belarus, from where the missiles destroyed Ukrainian fighter jets.

On February 25, an S-400 shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet near Kyiv. According to the American edition, the fighter jet was piloted by the Colonel of the Ukrainian Air Force, 53-year-old Oleksandr Oksanchenko.

The S-400 is designed to neutralize targets up to 400 km away with the 40N6 missile. While the 48N6 missile with a range of 250 km, is used more often.

On March 5, Ukraine lost four more Su-27s, in a dogfight against Russian Su-35 fighter jets in Zhytomyr, western Ukraine.
