Russian military claims control of Ukrainian city of Kherson
HSMilitarycom: The Russian military completely controlled the city of Kherson, including the Kherson railway station and port.
The Ukrainian city has been under siege since the first days of the special operation, when Russian troops captured the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam and the Antonovsky bridge, the Timer newspaper reported.
While trying to control the city, From the Kherson defenses tried to resist, but on March 1, they surrendered and took heavy losses.
As a result, four civilians were also victims. Currently, the Russian army, with its accumulated military equipment, is located in the central part of Kherson, occupying all strategic facilities.
Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Igor Konashenkov , spoke about the results of the next day's military special operations in Ukraine.
He detailed that since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian servicemen have destroyed 1,146 military infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. At the same time, domestic flights destroyed six Ukrainian armored vehicles.
