SU-57 fighter jet will be updated to the latest version
Hsmilitarycom: The Russian Ministry of Defense and the Sukhoi Design Bureau are planning to develop a two-seat version of the Su-57 fighter for export, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said during a working trip to Primorsky Krai .
According to him, such a modification will expand demand abroad.
"There is interest in this machine, and, in my opinion, it will grow from year to year, as our Russian army becomes saturated with this model. Foreign customers first look at how this or that type of weapon of the Russian Armed Forces behaves ", Borisov added.
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation Russian multifunctional fighter designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. The first flight was made in 2010.
The aircraft is considered highly maneuverable, has the latest on-board radio-electronic equipment and low visibility (stealth technology).
The contract for the supply of VKS 76 fighters was signed at the Army-2019 forum.
The first serial vehicle for the military was delivered in 2020.
