F-15E failed to detect the presence of the Russian SU-35S
Hsmilitarycom: About two days ago, an F-15E fighter, having taken off from an air base in Estonia, tried to intercept a group of Russian military aircraft, among which was a Tu-134, as well as two MiG-31K fighters carrying Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.
However, the US Air Force fighter suddenly turned from a hunter into a victim - the Russian planes were accompanied by a pair of Su-35S fighters, which did not allow the American plane to even get close to the Russian Aerospace Forces fighters.
According to data available to the Avia.pro news agency, the US Air Force F-15E fighter was raised after a group of Russian military aircraft flew through international airspace near the borders of Estonia.
Apparently, the Su-35S fighters were not detected, and therefore, when the American combat aircraft tried to approach the Russian carriers of the Kinzhal ARK, this came as a complete surprise to the US Air Force pilot.
It is known that after the incident, Su-30SM fighters from the Kaliningrad region were also sent to meet Russian aircraft, but no new incidents were avoided.
The reasons for the transfer of Russian hypersonic missile systems "Dagger" to the Kaliningrad region are not announced.
