HSmilitary.com: Russia will deploy dozens of fighter jets to operational airfields near Ukrainian borders and in annexed Crimea. 

The press service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation declares its intention to conduct exercises on "delivering missile strikes."

The exercises are going to involve the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia and aviation formations of the Southern Military District.

“The military will work out interaction in carrying out missile strikes at maximum distance of targets as part of squadrons of Su-27SM, Su-30SM2 fighters, as well as Su-34 multifunctional fighter bombers,” the report says.

According to the Russian agency "Interfax" with reference to the press service of the Southern Military District, more than 60 units of aviation equipment are involved in the exercises.

The maneuvers will be carried out at the training grounds of the Rostov region and the Krasnodar Territory in Russia, as well as on the territory of the annexed Crimea.

As reported, the Southern Military District of Russia intends to conduct over 3,000 combat training events in 2022.

 During the exercises, it is planned to work out the issues of creating and using groups in operational areas.

The exercises will take place near the Ukrainian border amid ongoing tensions between Moscow and Kiev.
